Radish Salad, a vibrant and refreshing dish, is a true reflection of Ukraine's love for seasonal ingredients. This crisp, colorful salad, often featuring radishes, cucumbers, and dill, is a perfect balance of flavors, embodying the simplicity and freshness of Ukrainian cuisine.

Ingredients

  • 9 oz. of radish
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 oz. of sour cream
  • dill
  • salt

Instructions

Step 1

Cut radishes in halves and then into thin slices. Cut cucumber the same way.

Step 2

In a bowl mix radish and cucumber, add 1-2 tb spoon of sour cream. Add some fresh dill, and salt to taste.

Serve as a salad, or as a filling for rye bread sandwiches.

Variations

This is a typical spring salad that is meant to give you a vitamin burst after the long winter. Combines well with other seasonal veggies and herbs: parsley, cilantro, or green onions. Try to cut an apple to balance the radishes with some sweetness.
